WKU is coming off a solid showing in the Lenny Lyles Invitational where multiple Hilltoppers set new season highs. Emilia Lesniak set a new PR in the high jump, clearing 1.78 meters. The jump is tied for the best in Conference USA. Luke Stegman also tossed his season best in the weight throw (16.71m).
The Hilltoppers will travel just eight athletes to the meet, all competing in field events. Ajla Basic and Grace Turner will headline the women's squad while Nick Fornoff and Stegman will highlight the men's roster.
On the upcoming meet, Head Coach Brent Chumbley said "We are taking a small group of technical athletes this weekend simply to get more practice in a facility. The rest of the team is focusing on a two week training block before the trip to Liberty. We want to be ready for that trip and treat it as a conference preview."
The meet gets underway with the men's shot put, which is slated for a 9 a.m. start. Following, the men's pole vault will get underway at approx. 10 a.m. The first event of the day for the women's team is the high jump, scheduled for 2 p.m. The day's events will commence with the women's weight throw at 3:30 p.m.
*All times Central Standard.
