BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Track & Field continues the 2024 Indoor campaign with the Lenny Lyles Invitational on Friday and Saturday Jan. 26-27 in Louisville, Ky. The meet will be hosted by the University of Louisville.

WKU is coming off an excellent showing at the 2024 Bellarmine Open where multiple Hilltoppers notched first place finishes. Emilia Lesniak set a new meet record in the high jump, clearing 1.75 meters. The previous record she broke was set by another Hilltopper, Grace Turner, who cleared 1.70 meters. Kameron Horton and Ajla Basic added two more top finishes as Horton won the 60 meter hurdles and Basic won the weight throw, rounding out the single day meet with three first place victories.
On the upcoming meet, Head Coach Brent Chumbley said "This weekend will be our deepest field for competition. We look forward to seeing how we stack up with a lot of Power 5 programs."
Teams set to compete against the Red and White include Florida State, Michigan State, Ohio State, Purdue, Texas Tech, and host Louisville.Â
Friday, the meet kicks off with the men's long jump which is slated for 9 a.m. An hour later, the track will be raised for the men's and women's 200. The final event on the track will start at 3:10 p.m. with the 800 leg of the pentathlon. The outdoor events will commence with the women's pole vault, scheduled for 1 p.m. Four Hilltoppers are set to compete in the event.
Saturday, the 400 meter race (seeded) is scheduled for 10:15 a.m. Meanwhile, the triple jump, men's high jump, men's pole vault, and shot put will round out the field events for the day. The meet will conclude with the 4x400 relays which get underway at 1:35 p.m.
