TEXARKANA, Ark. – Hilltopper Golf finished up the first round of the Conference USA Men's Golf Championship on Monday afternoon.
Sophomore Riley Grindstaff is leading the Tops through round one at the par-72, 6,969-yard Texarkana Country Club. He posted a 3-over 75 and is tied for 18th in the 50-man field.
Senior captain Luke Fuller turned in a 5-over 77 and WKU counted two 9-over 81's to finish out the scorecard. Redshirt sophomore Nic Hofman and junior Connery Meyer contributed to the team's total.
WKU is tied for ninth overall with an 18-hole team score of 26-over 314. The Hilltoppers will tee off starting at 8:48 a.m. CT for the second round on Tuesday morning.
