Men's Golf Begins C-USA Championship on Monday

TEXARKANA, Ark. – Hilltopper Golf will begin vying for the Conference USA Men's Golf Championship on Monday morning at the par-72, 6,969-yard Texarkana Country Club. The teams will be play three rounds of stroke play before an individual medalist is crowned and the top four teams go into one final day of match play to determine the conference champion.

Among the 10 teams in the field, two are ranked in the Golfstat Top 100 including No. 70 Middle Tennessee and No. 81 Charlotte. WKU will be paired with the Rice Owls for the first round of the tournament.
There will be six Hilltoppers that travel: five in the lineup and one serving as an alternate who can be subbed in for anyone in the lineup after any round.

Senior captain Luke Fuller leads off the pack. It is his third trip to a Conference USA Championship, only missing the first in his freshman year as it was canceled due to the pandemic. Sophomore Riley Grindstaff returns to the Texarkana course in the two-spot for WKU.

Redshirt sophomore Nic Hofman will make his first appearance in a collegiate conference tournament from the three-hole. Fifth-year senior Landon Carner will be in the fourth spot while junior Connery Meyer will wrap things up on the lineup card.

WKU's substitution will be freshman Hayden Warren, with potential for his first collegiate appearance in a lineup.
