Staying close to home, the Bison and Hilltoppers have met 33 times in both programs' history, staying even in the all-time series before WKU came out 17-16, with a 5-0 shutout in Bowling Green last season.
Last weekend on The Hill, WKU held Power 5 opponent No. 19 Indiana to their lowest trio of runs in nine game with a 0-3 loss on Tuesday. Looking to bounce back, the Tops headed to San Antonio to face UTSA on the road for the first time in program history. After weather disrupted the originally scheduled three-game series, the Roadrunners and Hilltoppers split the two games, as UTSA took game one 7-2, and WKU took the second contest 9-2 that included three home runs off the Red and White bats.

TOP STORYLINES
- Being a local rival, WKU and Lipscomb will meet for the 34th time in program history, as the Hilltoppers hold the slight edge in the all-time series, 17-16.
- Head coach Amy Tudor earned her career 500-win mark in the Tops 9-0 win over Evansville. She is 511 all-time, while 294 as WKU's head coach.
- After the two-game series with UTSA, Lipscomb will be the third of six games WKU will play on the road later in the month. The Hilltoppers will travel down to Middle Tennessee for a final road test in conference for a three-game stretch next weekend.
- On the stat sheet, Faith Hegh is leading the Tops with a .391 batting average, while also owning 41 hits. Taylor Sanders leads with 39 RBIs and nine home runs and while Taylor Davis has 38 hits and stolen 15 bases.
- The Hilltoppers collectively hold 283 hits, 167 RBIs, a .299 batting average with 18 home runs.
- In the Conference USA Preseason Coaches Poll, the Hilltoppers were predicted to finish second in C-USA, while fifth-year outfielder Taylor Davis was named to the Preseason All-Conference team.
