ARDMORE, Okla. – Lady Topper Golf played two rounds on the first day of The Bruzzy hosted by North Texas. WKU is tied for 13th amongst the most competitive field the Lady Toppers have seen this season.
Sophomore Catie Craig logged the lowest scores of the day for the Red and White, shooting 3-over 73 and 4-over 74 at the par-70, 5,976-yard Dornick Hills Golf Club. Craig is tied for 25th overall.
Two Lady Toppers are tied for 55th: senior Sarah Arnold and freshman Sydney Hackett. The duo both posted a first-round, 8-over 78 and improved to a second-round, 4-over 74. Their 36-hole score of 12-over has them in 55th, five shots out of the top 25.
WKU counted an additional 8-over 78 from fifth-year senior Kenlie Barrett in the first round and a 3-over 73 from freshman Averi Cline in the second.
The field will tee off for the final round with an 8:30 a.m. CT shotgun start on Sunday morning.
