THE SCHEDULE
• The Hilltoppers will host Belmont at 3 p.m. CT on Tuesday, March 7 at Nick Denes Field.

LAST TIME OUT
• WKU split its four-game series against Northern Illinois last weekend at Nick Denes Field.
• WKU swept its Saturday doubleheader recording a 9-8 win in the first game and a 7-5 victory in game two.
• The Huskies evened the series in the Sunday doubleheader, winning both games. Northern Illinois won 18-10 in the first game and 6-5 in game two in extra innings.

DOUBLE TIME
• Through 13 games the Hilltopper offense leads all of C-USA and is ranked ninth in the nation for doubles (32).
• OF Ty Crittenberger leads all of C-USA in doubles (6) after hitting one this past weekend.

TOP OF THE CHARTS
• Only nine C-USA players are hitting .400 or over through the first three weeks of the season, with three being Hilltoppers. INFs Tristin Garcia (.436), Drew Reckart (.415), and Aidan Gilroy (.412) ranking fifth, sixth, and seventh in the entire league.
• As a team, the Hilltoppers lead C-USA in batting average (.322), while being tied for 19th in the nation.

MOUND MARVELS
• WKU leads the league in saves (5) while ranking fourth in the conference in opponent batting average (.253) and the staff has only given up eight home runs through 13 games, ranking third in C-USA.
• RHP Mason Burns and LHP Lane Diuguid are tied for the 10th-most strikeouts in C-USA with 16 a piece while LHP Devyn Terbrak is tied for 17th (15).

TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK
• WKU's offense currently leads all of Conference USA in sacrifice bunts (15), tripling the next best team, UAB, who has five.
• The Hilltoppers are currently third in the nation for sacrifice bunts behind Wofford and Jackson State, who each have 17.

SERIES HISTORY
• WKU and Belmont have met 54 times in program history, with the Hilltoppers owning a 28-26 all-time series edge.
• The teams met earlier this season in Nashville with the Hilltoppers coming away with the 9-7 victory over the Bruins.
• Prior to this season, the teams met twice last season, splitting the two games with both games being decided by just one run.

SCOUTING THE HILLTOPPERS
• WKU is 9-4 on the season following its four-game series against Northern Illinois last weekend.
• The Hilltoppers started the season winning its first seven games, good for the longest winning streak since 2011 and best start to a season since 1985.
• Offensively, three Hilltoppers are hitting .400 or better on the season in Tristin Garcia (.436), Drew Reckart (.415), and Aidan Gilroy (.412).
• On the mound, WKU has compiled a 5.21 team ERA while striking out 123 batters in 114.0 innings of action.

• Belmont is 5-7 on the year after getting the series win over Kansas last weekend at home.
• At the plate, the Bruins have one player hitting above .400, Sam Kirkpatrick who currently owns a .432 batting average.
• The Belmont pitching staff has produced a 5.35 team ERA while recording 100 strikeouts in 101.0 frames.
