BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Men's Golf is set to open its spring competition with Ball State's Earl Yestingsmeier Match Play tournament in Dade City, Fla., on Monday and Tuesday.

WKU is the three-seed in the eight-team tournament. The Hilltoppers are slated to match up against Loyola Chicago, the six-seed, in the first round on Monday morning.
Based on results, WKU will go on to play either two-seeded Dayton or seven-seeded Drake on Monday afternoon. On the opposite side of the bracket lies Ball State, Central Michigan, High Point and Eastern Michigan. One of those teams will be the Hilltoppers' final opponent on Tuesday.
The match-play event at the par-72, 7,153-yard Lake Jovita Golf Course will have six golfers on each team duking it out. The seeding for the individual players is based on Golfstat rankings.
Leading off for WKU in the one-spot is sophomore Riley Grindstaff who currently leads the team in scoring average at 73.6 strokes. Senior Luke Fuller follows him in the second spot, averaging 74.3 shots per round.
Redshirt sophomore Nic Hofman is WKU's three-man while junior Connery Meyer sits in at the four. Rounding out the team is fifth-year senior Landon Carner and sophomore Will Stewart.
