Lady Toppers Finish Fall Season At Rice Invitational

HOUSTON – WKU Women's Tennis finished the fall season Sunday with singles matches in the Rice Invitational at the George R. Brown Tennis Center.

Sunday marked the final day of the three-day event, which was the third competition the Lady Toppers played in this fall – they also competed at the MTSU Invitational and the Samford Round Robin in October.

Rachel Hermanova was WKU's lone winner in Sunday's matches, defeating UTSA's Aleksandra Zlatarova 6-4, 6-4. WKU had five singles matches on the final day of the Rice Invitational.

The Lady Toppers will now turn their sights to the spring season, which will open with a Jan. 15 match at Eastern Kentucky. WKU's first home match is scheduled for Jan. 19 against Bellarmine.
