THE SCHEDULE
- The Hilltoppers will open their series on Friday, May 13 with a 6 p.m. CT matchup against Louisiana Tech.
- WKU will then play the Bulldogs at 2 p.m. CT on Saturday, May 14.
- The Hilltoppers will close out their series against Louisiana Tech on Sunday, May 15 at 1 p.m. CT.
LAST TIME OUT
- WKU Baseball battled back from a five-run deficit to earn an 11-6 win over Austin Peay on Tuesday night at Raymond C. Hand Park.
- The Hilltoppers were in a 5-0 hole through six innings of action, recording only one hit to that point, before erupting for eight runs in the top of the seventh en route to the eventual 11-6 victory.
- At the plate, the Hilltoppers racked up 11 hits and 11 walks, with three players producing multi-hit performances. Justin Carlin led the way, going 4-for-5 with a home run and three RBI, while Jackson Gray went 2-for-2 with four RBI and Ty Batusich hit 2-for-4 with two runs.
MEYER NAMED C-USA HITTER OF THE WEEK
- Junior outfielder Matthew Meyer was named the Conference USA Hitter of the Week on May 9 following a strong weekend at the plate in the Hilltoppers' series win against UAB.
- Meyer posted a .545 batting average and 1.273 slugging percentage in three games, racking up six hits – including two doubles and two home runs – to go along with three runs and five RBI.
- Of the Hilltoppers' 13 runs on the weekend, Meyer scored or knocked in eight of them.
GARCIA GOT GAME
- Tristin Garcia ranks first on the team in batting average (.321), total bases (88), hits (61) and doubles (17) while ranking second in slugging percentage (.463) and runs (34).
- Garcia is currently tied for third in Conference USA in doubles while ranking 22nd in batting average.
- Garcia has produced 22 multi-hit, seven multi-run and six multi-RBI games throughout the season.
FRESHMAN ON FIRE
- True freshman Ty Batusich leads the team in on-base percentage (.418), slugging percentage (.516), runs (36), walks (22) and home runs (eight) while ranking second in batting average (.299) and RBI (32).
- Batusich is currently tied for 26th in Conference USA in home runs while ranking 28th in slugging percentage.
- Batusich was named the C-USA Hitter of the Week on March 7 after slashing .471/.500/.706 in four starts while racking up eight hits – including a double and home run – to go along with two runs and 10 RBI against (RV) Kentucky and Hartford.
FIRST AIN'T FREE
- The Hilltopper pitching staff currently ranks third in Conference USA and 15th in the nation with just 3.23 walks allowed per nine innings.
- WKU also ranks third in C-USA and 39th in the country with a 2.59 strikeout-to-walk ratio.
- Individually, Devyn Terbrak currently ranks fourth in C-USA in both strikeout-to-walk ratio (5.67) and walks allowed per nine innings (1.42).

- WKU and Louisiana Tech have met 42 times in program history, with the Bulldogs owning a 24-18 all-time series edge.
