The Hilltoppers' last four meetings with UAB – all during the 2021 campaign in Bowling Green – resulted in victories for WKU between a non-conference series sweep and the C-USA Tournament Championship game.
All three games will stream on CUSA.tv, a subscription-based platform.
Following the Hilltoppers' weekend sweep, fifth-year pitcher Shelby Nunn earned her second Conference USA Pitcher of the Week accolade of the last three weeks. Nunn's awards mark two of WKU's five honors this season as Bailey Curry, Taylor Sanders and Brylee Hage have all been tabbed C-USA Player of the Week.
WKU leads the all-time series with UAB, 10-9 but trails 1-5 in games played at Mary Bowers Field.
UAB enters the weekend series with a 20-13 overall record and 8-1 reading in C-USA action. The Blazers' lone league loss came to FIU. The Hilltoppers own a 25-7 record heading into the series with a 9-3 mark in conference play. Based on winning percentage – Conference USA's chosen metric – both the Hilltoppers and Blazers lead the East and West Divisions entering the matchup.
On Wednesday, both WKU and UAB were supposed to host midweek games but with inclement weather and poor field conditions, both midweeks were canceled.

- Shelby Nunn was named WKU's second-ever Preseason Pitcher of the Year, which is the first in the Conference USA era. Adrienne Lathrop was the Sun Belt Conference Preseason Pitcher of the Year ahead of the 2008 campaign.
