BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Track & Field is slated host its annual Hilltopper Relays at the Charles M. Ruter Track and Field Complex on Friday and Saturday. Fans are directed to park in Parking Structure 1 and walk over to the facility.

Most recently at the Ole Miss Classic, WKU logged nine top-10 finishes overall with placements from Queen Couch, Maddy Hurt, Allison Arnett, Nikki Ogorek, Ajla Basic, Aitana Safont Falomir, Steven Simmons, Zackery Martinez and Keegan Barnette. While the majority of the squad competed in Mississippi, Savannah Heckman finished with the school's fourth-fastest 5k time at the prestigious Raleigh Relays.
Action at the Hilltopper Relays will begin on Friday at noon with the women's high jump, hammer throw, long jump and men's shot put. On the track, the women's and men's 5k's will be run at 5 and 5:30 p.m., respectively.
Saturday morning will start with men's discus at 9 a.m. Triple jump will start at 10 followed by men's pole vault at noon. Javelin will compete as soon as discus is complete.
Events on the track will start with the Fastest Kid in BG races at 11 a.m. Preliminary races at elementary schools were run in the last month, and the winners amongst boys and girls 1st through 6th grade will compete on the track on Saturday in order to name the Fastest Kids in BG.
Collegiate races will begin at noon with the 4x100-meter relays and end with the 4x400-meter relays at 5:25 and 5:40 p.m. Senior Day recognition for nine of WKU Track & Field's seniors will be held on the track at 2:15 p.m.
