WKU has opened the 2022 campaign off with an overall record of 21-5, while Florida Atlantic is 16-16. Last season, the Tops swept Florida Atlantic in Bowling Green, taking all four decisions. Both teams have played Illinois State this season. WKU won the contest 4-3 while FAU split two games with the Redbirds. Florida Atlantic is 4-2 in Conference USA and sits in second place in the east division with WKU right ahead in first place with a 5-1 record.
Last weekend WKU hosted UTEP. The Tops swept the weekend series 3-0 for four-straight conference wins. Friday, veteran pitcher Shelby Nunn went the full seven innings striking out 12 Miners to set a career high for the Bowling Green native in route to a 6-0 win. Nunn continued to dominate from the circle picking up two more wins for the weekend allowing no runs which earned her the Conference-USA pitcher of the week accolade.
Monday the Hilltoppers hosted 10th-ranked Arkansas for their first midweek contest of the season. This was the third SEC opponent WKU has faced this season and marked the first time the Razorbacks made a trip to Bowling Green.
The Hilltoppers are receiving votes in both nationally-recognized Top-25 polls and come in as high as No. 25 in the Extra Innings Softball rankings.
Last weekend, WKU Softball reached the 700 program wins milestone. On the flip side, Florida Atlantic head coach Joan Joyce achieved her - and FAU's - 1,000th victories.
All three games between the Hilltoppers and Owls will be streamed on C-USA TV with live stats available as well.

TOP STORYLINES
- WKU Softball has faced off against Florida Atlantic 47 times in program history. FAU leads the all-time series 25-22 but WKU has won the past seven.
- The Hilltoppers currently hold a 21-5 record (5-1 C-USA) and achieved the program's 700th all-time win with Sunday's victory over UTEP.
- After last weekend's results, Coach Tudor is now 472-369-2 in her career. Since coming to the Hill ahead of the 2014 campaign, Tudor boasts an overall record of 255-163-1 and a conference record of 91-67. Since the 2014 season, Tudor is 11-10 against FAU and has guided the Tops to seven straight victories over the Owls.
- Taylor Davis and Shelby Nunn were both named to the Louisville Slugger/ Wilson DI NFCA Top Performance list for their weekend efforts. Davis went 6-for-8 at the plate for a .750 average while scoring six runs and stealing three bases.
- Last week Shelby Nunn was named Conference USA Pitcher of the Week. In the weekend series against UTEP Nunn recorded three wins, 17 strikeouts, and no earned runs in 12 innings pitched.
- WKU has seen three athletes earn Conference USA Player of the Week honors in five weeks of the award being distributed this season. Bailey Curry, Taylor Sanders and Brylee Hage have all been honored with the accolade this season.
- Shelby Nunn was named WKU's second-ever Preseason Pitcher of the Year, which is the first in the Conference USA era. Adrienne Lathrop was the Sun Belt Conference Preseason Pitcher of the Year ahead of the 2008 campaign.
