BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Track & Field will travel to two meets over the weekend as most of the squad heads to the Ole Miss Classic while four select distance runners were accepted to compete at the prestigious Raleigh Relays.

The Hilltoppers are coming off their start to the outdoor season where part of the squad traveled to Auburn's Tiger Track Classic for spring break. Many student-athletes competed for WKU in the outdoor season for the very first time as the team picked up six top-10 finishes.
Dedrick Troxell and Clint Sherman will both run in the men's 1500-meter at the Raleigh Relays starting at 3:45 p.m. CT on Thursday afternoon. Lucy Rutherford and Savannah Heckman will compete in the women's 5k, which will be run in sections between 6:29 and 7:45 p.m. CT on Friday night.
At the Ole Miss Classic, the only event run on Friday is the men's and women's hammer throw beginning with the men's side at 1 p.m. CT. Action will begin again Saturday in the field at 10 a.m. with the men's discus while running on the track starts at 1 p.m. with the 2,000-meter women's steeplechase.
