BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – With the 2023 campaign quickly approaching, head coach
Marc Rardin and the Hilltoppers have released their Conference USA schedule for the upcoming season.
WKU will play some familiar competition in 2023 with one new face joining the conference in Dallas Baptist, who competed in last year's NCAA Tournament and finished ranked 22nd in RPI.Â
"Personally, I am excited and curious to see the wide base of talented Conference USA programs as a first timer going through the league this spring," said Rardin. "Our primary goal as a program is to grow and create some momentum, as well as have our program start to trend upward in progress towards becoming a winning culture again."
WKU will begin conference play on the road at Middle Tennessee (Mar. 17-19) for a three-game series in Murfreesboro. The Hilltoppers' first home conference series will take place the following weekend, with a matchup against Louisiana Tech (Mar. 24-26), who finished the season ranked 17th in RPI and won the 2022 Conference USA Tournament.Â
The squad will travel to San Antonio and take on UTSA the next weekend (Mar. 31-Apr. 2) before a rematch with Middle Tennessee at home (Apr. 7-9).Â
Up next will be another road series, this time traveling to Birmingham to face the UAB Blazers (Apr. 14-16). The Hilltoppers then return home for two straight weekends of home games with FAU coming to The Hill (Apr. 21-23) followed by Charlotte (Apr. 28-30).Â
The month of May will feature the final three conference series with the first being a road trip to FIU (May 5-7). WKU will then welcome Rice to The Nick (May 12-14) and follow that up the next weekend traveling to Dallas Baptist for the first ever meeting between the programs.Â
The 2023 Conference USA Tournament is scheduled to begin on May 24.
Tickets for the 2023 season will be made available at a later date.
