BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Cross Country is set to enter the postseason as they travel to Denton, Texas to compete in the Conference USA Championships on Saturday, Oct. 29.
The meet will be hosted by North Texas and held at the TWU Soccer Complex. Live results are available via Black Squirrel Timing.
The women's squad will open the meet with an 6k beginning at 9:00 a.m. CT, followed by the men's 8k at 10:00 a.m. CT.
The men will face off against nine other C-USA schools, three of whom are ranked within their respective regions in Charlotte (5th – Southeast), Middle Tennessee (6th – South), and UTEP (15th – Mountain).
The women will compete against 10 conference foes, including three regionally ranked programs in Rice (7th – South Central), Middle Tennessee (11th – South), Charlotte (11th – Southeast).
At last year's C-USA Championships, the men's squad finished ninth with an average time of 26:46 in the 8k, while the women's team placed 10th with an average mark of 23:21 in the 6k.
Following the C-USA Championships, the Hilltoppers' next meet will be on Friday, Nov. 11 when they head to Louisville, Ky., to compete in the NCAA Southeast Regional.
