BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Women's Golf finished the first round of the Lady Bulldog Invitational on Saturday afternoon at the par-72, 6,291-yard UGA Golf Course.
Due to cold weather conditions, the 41-woman field was only able to play a single round on Saturday with course conditions and lack of daylight.
In her home state of Georgia, freshman Catie Craig led the way for the Lady Toppers with a 7-over 79. She held her own on the course with 12 pars, including four to close out her round. Craig is tied for 22nd.
Senior Kenlie Barrett finished just a stroke above Craig with an 8-over 80. She is tied for 24th after notching three birdies on her scorecard. Junior Sarah Arnold shot 9-over 81 and is tied for 27th.
Rounding out the five Lady Toppers are freshman Faith Martin and fifth-year senior Olivia Reed. They shot 10-over 82 and 12-over 84 respectively.
Continued play tomorrow will be determined by weather conditions and daylight.
