- The Lady Toppers are on a two-match win streak after victories against Marshall and Middle Tennessee to open the C-USA portion of the schedule.
- WKU is currently ranked as the No. 6 team in the South region in the United Soccer Coaches poll. The Lady Toppers are also the No. 22 team in the first release of the NCAA Soccer RPI.
- The Lady Toppers haven't lost a regular season conference match since 2019. During that span WKU has gone 8-0-2 with the last loss coming at Rice on October 20, 2019.
- The WKU defense had allowed only five goals this season through eight matches, a mark that leads C-USA. The team's 0.62 goals against average also leads the league and is 41st in the country.
- The Lady Toppers have scored 14 total goals this season, scored by nine different goal scorers. Avery Jacobsen leads the team with three. Katie Erwin, Brina Micheels and Mackenzie Crittenberger each have two and Lily Rummo, Annah Hopkins, Sophia Fondren, Lyric Schmidt and Briana Sayoc have one each.
- Jacobsen and Erwin are the leading points earners for WKU with eight each. Erwin leads the team with four assists and her 0.50 assists per game rate is tied for the third highest in the conference.
- In goal, Alexis Bach has gotten the starting nod in seven matches, recording clean sheets in three and tallying 26 saves. Her three shutouts are tied for second among all C-USA goalkeepers. Bach has a 0.71 goals against average, which is third in the league.
- Jacobsen has 66 starts in her career on The Hill, which is now tied for the 10th most by a Lady Topper in program history. She is tied with Mallory Outerbridge currently and is three starts from passing Nicole Roseland on the list.
- Friday's match will be the eighth all-time between WKU and UAB. WKU owns a 4-2-1 record against the Blazers and have won two straight in the series.
- The Lady Toppers are 0-2-1 in Birmingham against UAB all-time.
- The most recent meeting between the two teams came in April in the first round of the C-USA Championship. The Lady Toppers earned a 1-0 win to advance in the tournament on a goal from Annah Hopkins and a clean sheet by Ashely Kobylinski.
- The Blazers opened conference season with a 2-0 win against Louisiana Tech at home, but dropped a 1-0 decision to Old Dominion on the road on Sunday.
- Stella Kiss and Asha Zuniga are UAB's leading scorers with two goals each. Seven total players have scored goals for the Blazers this season.
- In goal, Anika Toth has played in six matches this season while Eve Beyer has played in four. Toth started in both C-USA matches. Toth's two shutouts this season is the sixth most in C-USA.
- The Lady Toppers return to the WKU Soccer Complex on Saturday, Oct. 2 to host Rice at 6 p.m.
