- The Lady Toppers are off to a 5-0-0 start to the season, the best start in program history. WKU is one of 14 teams left in NCAA Division I women's soccer with a perfect start to the season.
- WKU's nine-match home winning streak is tied for the sixth longest in the nation.
- WKU is currently ranked as the No. 3 team in the South region in the United Soccer Coaches poll and is receiving 19 votes in the Top 25 poll.
- On Thursday, WKU extended their winning streak with a 1-0 win at Belmont. The lone goal of the match came in the 73rd minute on a free kick from Avery Jacobsen.
- The 1-0 win at Belmont was the fourth shutout of the season for WKU in only five matches. The Lady Topper defense has only given up two goals this season, allowing 0.40 goals per game. Their .800 shutout percentage is tied for the sixth best rate in the nation.
- Lyric Schmidt became the fourth Lady Topper to earn a Conference USA weekly award this season on Tuesday, picking up Defensive Player of the Week honors for her play at Louisville. The senior had an impressive showing, making a team save and several other stops, tackles and blocks that kept the Cardinals from scoring in the 1-0 shutout.
- The Lady Toppers have scored 10 total goals this season, scored by seven different goal scorers. Katie Erwin, Brina Micheels and Jacobsen each have two and Lily Rummo, Mackenzie Crittenberger, Annah Hopkins and Briana Sayoc have one each.
- Erwin is the leading points earner for WKU with eight total on two goals and four assists.
- In goal, Alexis Bach has gotten the starting nod in four matches, recording clean sheets in three.
- WKU and Ole Miss have met four times in the past. The Rebels hold a slight advantage in the series with a 2-1-1 record against the Lady Toppers.
- This will be the third meeting between the two teams in Bowling Green. The series is tied 1-1-0 in Bowling Green.
- WKU won the first matchup between the teams in 2008, 2-1, in overtime in Bowling Green. The most recent meeting in 2019 also was an overtime match at the WKU Soccer Complex, but Ole Miss won that one 1-0.
- The Rebels are receiving 26 votes in the United Soccer Coaches poll this week.
- Ole Miss is coming off a 3-0 loss to No. 17 UCF on Thursday. The Rebels started the season 3-0 with wins against Middle Tennessee, Arkansas State and South Alabama. Prior to Thursday's loss, Ole Miss tied with Samford.
- Channing Foster and Molly Martin lead Ole Miss in scoring with four goals each. Haleigh Stackpile leads the team in the assist department with seven.
- Ashely Orkus has played in all six matches for the Rebels. She has a 1.55 goals against average on the season.
- The Lady Toppers start conference play next week, traveling to Marshall on Thursday, Sept. 16 to open league play. That match is set to begin at 5 p.m. (CT).
- WKU will return home on Sunday, Sept. 19 to host Middle Tennessee at the WKU Soccer Complex at 6 p.m.
