BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Track & Field is slated to compete in its final regular season meet at the Kentucky Invitational on Friday and Saturday. This will be the team's third weekend in the Commonwealth this season after traveling to Louisville most recently and hosting its own Hilltopper Relays at the beginning of the month.

In WKU's last time out, senior sprinter Marlowe Mosley led the Hilltoppers by placing first in the 200-meter out of 34 competitors. The team recorded 14 top-10 finishes across the entire two-day meet. Alexis Williams added to that total with a fourth-place finish in the 100 and seventh-place finish in the 200.
The WKU distance squad continued to log personal bests as Savannah Heckman finished fifth in the 5,000-meter race. Dedrick Troxell and Clint Sherman finished four-five in the 1500, both recording new PRs.
WKU will begin its weekend with women's hammer throw at 1 p.m. CT followed by men's pole vault at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tops will also compete in men's hammer throw and women's javelin later in the day. Events on the track will begin at 3 p.m. on Friday afternoon, starting with the women's 100-meter prelim race. WKU will compete in the men's 100, men's and women's 3k and men's 200 all on Friday evening.
On Saturday, action will begin at 11 a.m. CT with the women's 4x100-meter relay followed by the men's. Events on the track are expected to run all the way until 3 p.m. CT, ending with the men's 4x400-meter relay. WKU's field events will start with men's discus throw at 11:30 a.m. The Tops will also compete in women's pole vault and men's shot put on Saturday.
