BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Track & Field will head north on I-65 this weekend to compete in the Clark Wood Invitational hosted by Louisville. There will be 30 WKU competitors at the two-day meet.

In its last time out, WKU's 13 top-five finishes at the Gamecock Invitational were highlighted by individual performances from freshman Rory O'Connor and sophomore Alexis Williams. O'Connor brought home a victory in the women's 5k while Williams recorded top-10 finishes in the 100 and 200-meter races.
The distance and throwing groups continued to log numerous PRs as the team completed its second-SEC hosted meet of the season. The Louisville-hosted competition will be the team's first meet in 13 days.
At the Clark Wood Invitational, WKU's competition will begin with the women's javelin at 11 a.m. CT on Friday morning. Multiple field events will compete throughout the day on Friday including men's and women's pole vault, women's high jump, men's and women's hammer throw and men's shot put.
On the track, the Hilltoppers are slated to begin at 3:45 p.m. CT with the men's 800-meter. WKU will also race in the 200-meter as well as the 5k on Friday evening.
Outside of men's discus throw at 2:30 p.m. CT, Saturday will primarily be a day on the track for WKU. Beginning with the women's 100-meter preliminary race at 11 a.m. CT, events will consistently be run on the track throughout the day, ending with the men's 4x400-meter relay at approximately 3:30 p.m.
Women's events will precede men's over the course of the day, and there will be preliminary and final races for the 100 and 100-meter hurdles.
