- Sophomore goalkeeper Ashley Kobylinski had a season-high five saves in the match and the backline fought off nine UAB shots
- Kobylinski has posted five shutouts this season and owns a 0.67 goals against average
- It was Hopkins' fourth goal of the season and her second match-winner, the first coming against Louisville

- WKU will take a 10-match unbeaten streak into the game on Thursday. The Lady Toppers dropped their season opener to North Alabama, but have an 8-0-2 record since then. WKU is also the only team in C-USA that hasn't suffered a loss to a fellow conference team this season
Series History
- It hasn't been long since WKU's and Charlotte's last meeting, less than a week actually. The two teams met on April 9 in Bowling Green where WKU claimed a 1-0 win to clinch the C-USA East Division regular season title
- The Lady Toppers snapped a three-match losing streak to Charlotte with last Friday's win and are 2-4-1 against the 49ers all-time
- These two squads have faced off two other times in the C-USA Championship. The first time came in 2016 in Charlotte. The 49ers won that match in a penalty kick shootout. Then in 2019, WKU took on Charlotte in Denton, losing 2-1
Charlotte Notes
- Charlotte defeated North Texas, the 2019 C-USA Championship winners, 1-0 on Tuesday
- Haley Shand scored the match-winner for the 49ers in the 41st minute. It was her second goal of the season, putting her third on the team in goals scored. Michaella Arteta is second with three. The 49ers' leading goal scorer, Julia Patrum, did not play on Tuesday
- Abby Stapleton has played all 10 games in goal for Charlotte and has a 1.03 goals against average on the season
