BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Men's Golf is set to travel to Gulf Shores, Ala., for the Craft Farms Intercollegiate this upcoming week. This event is being co-hosted by South Alabama and Eastern Michigan at the par-72, 7,127-yard Cotton Creek Golf Course.
The tournament format is set up as three rounds of 18 holes, one round per day. On Sunday, the 28th, the first pairing for the Hilltoppers will tee off at 9:30 a.m., followed by the remainder of the squad. Monday and Tuesday's tee times will be decided based on current standings.
In its most recent tournament of the season, WKU had its best finish of the season finishing fourth out of 16 teams. The Tops were led by the compliment of underclassmen. Freshman Connery Meyer and sophomore Luke Fuller both placed in the top-12 of the field.
In the top spot this weekend for the men will be Fuller. The Mount Sterling, Ky., native is coming off of a 12th-place finish in the Sea Palms Invitational and extra holes in his match against Austin Peay.
Next up in the lineup is Meyer. The Marietta, Ga., native has had a strong campaign this season competing in four tournaments for the Hilltoppers. Meyer is coming off of the team's lowest 54-hole score of the season and is looking to carry his momentum into the weekend.
Rounding out the lineup will be a trio of seniors, as Caleb O'Toole will be in the third spot, followed by Tom Bevington in the fourth, and Christian Tooley in the fifth. The group has competed in all five tournaments for the Hilltoppers and hold the top three score averages for the team this season.
Senior Jack Poole will be competing in the tournament as an individual.
The Craft Farms Intercollegiate field will consist of 12 teams including WKU.
