BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Hilltopper Golf is slated to host the Austin Peay Governors at Indian Hills Country Club on Monday as the two teams finish their two-day dual match. The public is invited to attend the match, beginning at 10 a.m. CT on the first tee at the IHCC.
In the inaugural dual between the Hilltoppers and Governors, the match takes on a home-and-home format. The teams competed in Clarksville, playing seven individual matches, on February 8. WKU's Luke Fuller and Dominic Brettkelly each won a full point while Connery Meyer earned a half-point by halving his match.
Overall, the first team to 7.5 points total will claim the inaugural event and trophy. WKU is standing at 2.5 points while Austin Peay has 4.5 headed into Monday's event.
Just like the front-half of the event, the back-half of the event will consist of seven individual matches. Fuller, Meyer, Tom Bevington, Christian Tooley, Caleb O'Toole, Jack Poole and Chase Landrum are all due to compete in the event.
This is the first home event for WKU Men's Golf since hosting the Kenny Perry Invitational in the fall of 2016.
While the public is invited to the match, standard social distancing guidelines are required, and masks are encouraged when in close proximity of others.
