BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — WKU Hilltopper Basketball comes back home this week for two in-state matchups, starting at 7 p.m. CT Tuesday against Centre College. The game will air on ESPN+ and locally in Bowling Green on WKU PBS.

The Hilltoppers are coming off a dominant 71-48 victory over Ole Miss on Saturday in the Holiday Hoopsgiving event in Atlanta. Centre is 4-4, most recently beating Sewanee 96-68 on Dec. 4.

WKU is 14-4 all-time against Centre with the first meeting coming in 1923 and the last coming in 1987. Head coach Rick Stansbury has never faced the Colonels.

WKU is offering free admission to all those affected by the storms and tornadoes for Tuesday night's game. Doors to E.A. Diddle Arena will open at 5:30 p.m.

WKU Athletics and Aramark are offering a free hot dog, chips and a drink at the concession stands to people affected by the storms and tornadoes, while supplies last. On Tuesday, WKU Athletics will be accepting donations to the Warren County Public Schools Synergy Relief Fund. The public can donate to the fund here.

WKU will also be accepting gift card donations at Hilltopper Basketball games on Tuesday. Gift cards to grocery stores, gas stations and local restaurants in addition to general Visa gift cards will be accepted at the donation tables inside the gates. Monetary donations are preferred but any other physical supply donations will also be accepted at the gates.

• Centre is the alma mater of legendary WKU head coach E.A. Diddle. Diddle guided WKU for 42 seasons, and his 759 wins were the most by a college coach at the time of his retirement in 1964.

• WKU improved to 10-8 against the Power Five since 2017 and 4-1 against the SEC with Saturday's win over Ole Miss. The Hilltoppers have beaten a SEC team in each of the last four seasons.

• As of Monday, WKU ranks seventh in total blocks (65), ninth in the country in blocks per game (6.5), 33rd in steals per game (9.4) and 38th in turnovers forced per game (17).

• WKU junior center Jamarion Sharp is the tallest player in college basketball at 7 feet, 5 inches. He's also the tallest player in the history of the Hilltopper program. Sharp ranks first in the country in blocks percentage (20.4%), and second in total blocks (48) and blocks per game (4.8).

• Since entering the starting lineup six games ago, Jamarion Sharp is averaging 10.3 points, 9.5 rebounds and 6.3 blocks per game while shooting 29 of 36 (80.6%) from the field.

• After making 1 of 19 3-pointers (11%) in the first three games, redshirt senior guard Luke Frampton has made 20 of 43 3-pointers (46.5%) in the last seven games.

• Sophomore guard Dayvion McKnight is one of two players in the country averaging at least 14 points, six rebounds, five assists and two steals per game, along with Santa Clara's Josip Vrankic.

WKU outscored Centre by 12 in the second half, earning a home victory in the Wendy's Classic.

Steve Miller led WKU with 22 points, while Fred Tisdale had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Anthony Smith pulled down 17 rebounds.

Centre shot just 31.8% from the field and made just 1 of 14 3-pointers. The Colonels also netted just 17 of 28 free throws.
