ATLANTA — Following a five-game homestand, WKU Hilltopper Basketball returns to the road to face Ole Miss in a neutral-site game at the Holiday Hoopsgiving at 7:30 p.m. CT Saturday in Atlanta, Ga. The game will air on SEC Network.

The Hilltoppers had a four-game winning streak snapped Wednesday with a 77-67 home loss to Buffalo. Ole Miss has won three straight, including a victory over Memphis last weekend.

WKU is 1-1 all-time against Ole Miss, winning the last meeting in Oxford in 2014. Head coach Rick Stansbury is 21-8 in his career against the Rebels.

• WKU is 29-49 all-time against the current SEC membership, while head coach Rick Stansbury – a longtime head coach at Mississippi State – is 143-117 in his career against the SEC, including winning 72% of his games against Ole Miss. WKU has won a game against a SEC foe each of the last three years, winning at Arkansas in 2018, at home against the Razorbacks in 2019, and at Alabama in 2020. WKU is 4-3 overall in its last seven games against the SEC, including a road win at Ole Miss in 2014.

• As of Thursday, WKU ranks 10th in the country in blocks per game (6.3) and total blocks (57), 28th in turnovers forced per game (17.8) and 29th in steals per game (9.7).

• WKU junior center Jamarion Sharp is the tallest player in college basketball at 7 feet, 5 inches. He's also the tallest player in the history of the Hilltopper program. Sharp ranks first in the country in blocks percentage (20%), and second in total blocks (42) and blocks per game (4.7).

• Since entering the starting lineup five games ago, Jamarion Sharp is averaging 9.2 points, 9.6 rebounds and 6.4 blocks per game while shooting 21 of 26 (80.8%) from the field.

• After making 1 of 19 3-pointers (11%) in the first three games, redshirt senior guard Luke Frampton has made 18 of 40 3-pointers (45%) in the last six games.

• Sophomore guard Dayvion McKnight is one of two players in the country averaging at least 15 points, six rebounds, five assists and two steals per game, along with Santa Clara's Josip Vrankic.

WKU overcame a 13-point halftime deficit with a massive second half, outscoring Ole Miss by 20 after the break for a SEC road win.

The Hilltoppers held the Rebels to 24% shooting in the second half while shooting 52% themselves. T.J. Price had a massive game with 26 points, 10 rebounds and five assists.

Stefan Moody paced Ole Miss with 25 points and six made 3-pointers.
