WKU Notes
- The Lady Toppers enter the match as the 2-seed out of the East division after finishing three points behind first-place Old Dominion.
- WKU is 5-0-1 in games played away from Bowling Green this season, but this will be the Lady Toppers' first neutral site match.
- The Lady Toppers secured their 15th 10-win season all-time with an overtime victory at FIU in October.
- A group of WKU student-athletes earned postseason awards in the last week. Avery Jacobsen was named to the All-C-USA First Team, Katie Erwin was tabbed to the third team and Brooke Sleeva was named to the All-Freshmen Team. Erwin also earned C-USA All-Academic First Team honors.
- The Lady Toppers have scored 21 goals this season, scored by 10 different goal scorers. Jacobsen and Erwin lead the way with four each and Brina Micheels is right behind them with three. Mackenzie Crittenberger, Briana Sayoc and Lily Rummo have added two goals this season and Sophia Fondren, Annah Hopkins, Lyric Schmidt and Sleeva have all scored one.
- Erwin leads the team in points (12) scored with her four goals and four assists on the season. Jacobsen is second with 11 points on four goals and three assists.
- Jacobsen has three game-winning goals this season which is the second most in the conference and she is one of only five defenders in NCAA Soccer with three or more. Jacobsen is also adding her name to the WKU record book with 73 career starts which is the fourth most in Lady Topper history. She is two starts away from the second most and three from first.
- In goal, Alexis Bach has a 0.822 goals against average which is the fourth best in C-USA. Her 0.826 save percentage is the third best in the league and her five clean sheets are fourth.
- The two teams have faced off eight times in program history, the most recent meeting coming Sept. 24 in Birmingham this season. The Lady Toppers won that match, 1-0, in double overtime. Briana Sayoc scored a long-distance goal with 32 seconds left in the match to give WKU the win.
- WKU and UAB met in the C-USA tournament quarterfinals in the spring as well. The Lady Toppers won that matchup, 1-0, in Houston.
- WKU has won three straight in the series, getting 1-0 wins in all three matches.
- The Blazers come into the match with some momentum as winners of three of their last four matches.
- UAB averages the fourth most shots per game (14.5) in the league and the fifth most shots on goal (6.5) in the conference.
- Asha Zuniga leads the Blazers in goals with four total on the season. Laura Zemberyova and Stella Kiss have each scored three. Jessica Wheeler is the team's leading assists earner with four on the year.
- Eve Beyer and Anika Toth split time in-goal for the Blazers. Beyer has started in eight matches while Toth has started in nine, including against WKU earlier in the season. Toth has a 1.35 goals against average for the season and Beyers has a 1.40 average.
- The winner of WKU vs. UAB will advance to the semifinals and will face the winner between Southern Miss (No. 1 West) and host school, Florida Atlantic (No. 4 East) on Friday at 6 p.m. (CT).
