- The Lady Toppers remain undefeated in C-USA play with a perfect 4-0-0 record with four conference matches left on the schedule.
- WKU is receiving 21 votes in this week's United Soccer Coaches poll and is ranked No. 3 in the South region by the organization. The Lady Toppers also came in at No. 16 in the RPI this week, jumping up from last week's No. 31.
- The defense has been stellar for WKU all season long. WKU's 0.487 goals against average (GAA) is the 13th best average in the country 60 percent shutout rate is 16th nationally. Through 10 matches this season, WKU has given up only five total goals and only two in C-USA play. With back-to-back shutouts, the Lady Toppers haven't given up a goal in over 201 minutes of play.
- WKU hasn't lost a regular season conference match in nearly two years. The Lady Toppers have a 10-0-2 unbeaten streak that dates back to October 2019.
- The Lady Toppers have scored 17 total goals, scored by nine different goal scorers. Avery Jacobsen leads the team with four goals and Katie Erwin has three. Brina Micheels, Mackenzie Crittenberger and Briana Sayoc each have two and Lily Rummo, Annah Hopkins, Lyric Schmidt and Sophia Fondren have one.
- Erwin and Jacobsen are tied as the team's leading points earners with 10 each. Erwin's points have come on three goals and four assists and Jacobsen's have come on four goals and two assists.
- Three of Jacobsen's goals have come on penalty kicks. Three of those goals have also been game-winners, a mark that is 25th most in the country.
- In goal, Alexis Bach has gotten the starting nod in nine matches, recording clean sheets in five and posting a 0.54 GAA which ranks her 19th in the NCAA and first in C-USA. Bach was named the C-USA Goalkeeper of the Week on Tuesday for her shutout performance against Rice.
Series History
- WKU and Old Dominion have played six times in series history.
- Friday's match will be only the third between the two teams in Bowling Green.
- Overall, the Monarchs hold a 5-0-1 record against the Lady Toppers. WKU snapped a five-match losing streak last season with a 1-1 tie in Norfolk.
- Old Dominion is a perfect 4-0-0 in league play with wins against Marshall, Middle Tennessee, UAB and UTSA.
- The Monarch defense has been stingy like WKU's, allowing only seven goals on the season, the second fewest in the conference behind the Lady Toppers. Old Dominion hasn't allowed a goal in conference play.
- Old Dominion also has nine goal scorers on the season with Carla Morich and Megan Watts each scoring four to lead the team.
- In goal, Kasey Perry has played in eight games for Old Dominion, including three of four C-USA matches. She has a 0.66 GAA and four clean sheets on the season. Jasmine Crawley has played in four matches and has a 0.57 GAA and two clean sheets.
- The Lady Toppers will hit the road for an away match at FIU on Friday, Oct. 15. That match is set for a 6 p.m. (CT) start.
- WKU will return home Sunday, Oct. 17 against UTEP for Senior Day. First kick will be at 1 p.m. and the Senior Day festivities will follow the match.
