LAST GAME AGAINST LOUISIANA TECH: FEBRUARY 27, 2020
Â
Trailing 15 with 3:23 to play and still by 12 with 2:02 left, WKU guard Taveion Hollingsworth put his team on his back with one of the best individual performances in E.A. Diddle Arena history.
Â
Hollingsworth poured in a career-high 43 points, helping the Hilltoppers rally for a 95-91 overtime win on Senior Night in the home finale.
Â
The Hilltoppers trailed 69-54 with 3:23 to play. But after the final media timeout, Hollingsworth exploded for 17 points in the last minutes of regulation.
Â
That included a game-tying 3-pointer with two seconds left to send the game to extra time tied at 80-all.
Â
Hollingsworth's 43 points were the most by a Hilltopper since program legend Jim McDaniels scored 49 at Tennessee Tech on Jan. 4, 1971. They were also the ninth-most ever by a C-USA player.
