Having to choose which school I'd be playing for when the season ended was definitely one of the most difficult decisions I've had to make. Plenty of the schools I got offers from had great basketball programs that would definitely take my game to the next level, but I felt WKU was the full package. What stood out to me about WKU was the team cohesion. I always look to play for teams where my teammates and I can feel like part of a brotherhood while still pushing each other to perform our best in-game, and I felt WKU was exactly what I was looking for.

When I got back home to Toronto during the off-season, quarantine was already in effect and all the gym facilities and basketball courts I normally practice at were closed, but I did the best with the time and resources I had. I did daily runs and home workouts to keep my fitness levels up and when quarantine restrictions finally loosened, I was back in the gym as soon as I could to put up shots. The quarantine also gave me the chance to spend plenty of time with my family, which I don't get to do often during the season.

It's been an interesting experience coming on to a new campus and starting to work out with my new teammates, especially because my first fourteen days were spent training and living in isolation because I came from Canada. It was a bit strange to spend my first few days getting my bearings of the school by myself because all that is normally done with my teammates. In spite of that, I can already feel myself warming up to the team and I'm excited to get back on the court and hoop. This is a promising team of hungry players and we're ready to get wins and go far this upcoming season!
