WKU will look to add upon its current 10-game win streak with its second midweek tilt of the 2020 campaign. The Hilltoppers are off to a 20-4 start – 3-0 in Conference USA – and have achieved a 20-win season quicker than any other team in program history. Across the first two weeks of the season, WKU played Troy and Chattanooga on their home fields, claiming the decision in both for a 2-0 record in away games.
UT Arlington heads into the midweek after hosting Troy for its Sun Belt Conference-opening series over the weekend. The Mavs enter Tuesday's game with an 11-13 record and own a 2-1 mark in league play. UTA is 0-3 against Conference USA squads this season, suffering a pair of losses to UTSA and a run-rule setback to [RV] North Texas.
In the all-time series between the squads, WKU leads 4-0 with all four meetings taking place during the 2014 campaign. The Tops swept the SBC series in Arlington before taking down the Mavs in the conference tournament as well.
Tuesday's action will also pit the Red and White against Miranda Kramer who is now an assistant at UT Arlington. Kramer and WKU assistant coach Dani Pugh transferred to WKU for their senior seasons in 2015 and helped head coach Amy Tudor secure the Conference USA regular season and tournament championships. Kramer is the lone NFCA All-American in WKU Softball program history.
