In total, there will be four camps this winter, including the Elite Topper All Skills Clinic, Advanced Infield Skills Clinic, Advanced Pitching Clinic and the Tops Prospect Hitting Clinic. Each outing is designed for all players wanting to further their knowledge in the game of softball. To register or find out more information, visit WKUSoftballCamps.com. All camps will take place at the WKU Indoor Hitting Facility located next to the WKU Baseball Field (white building next to WKU Baseball Field off of University Blvd.).
Opening the winter camps slate, the Elite Topper All Skills clinic is slated for Dec. 9 and is open to eighth graders through junior college players. In this outing, there will not be specific pitching or catching taught, however, pitchers and catchers who play secondary positions are encouraged to come and participate. Skills covered include fielding, throwing, base running and hitting.
The trio of camps on Jan. 12 commence at 9 a.m. CT with the Tops Prospect Hitting Clinic which is open to eighth graders through junior college players. In the second camp of the day, WKU Softball will host the Advanced Infield Skills Clinic. The Hilltoppers are welcoming any player between seventh grade and junior college to sign up for the two-hour session from 1-3 p.m. To close out the day's slate, seventh graders through junior college players are welcome to come out for the Advanced Pitching Clinic set for the 4-6 p.m. window.
EQUIPMENT NEEDED:
- Elite Toppers All Skills Clinic: Glove, Bat, Helmet, Cleats & Turf or Tennis Shoes
- TOPS Prospect Hitting Clinic: Bat, Helmet, & Turf or Tennis Shoes (any protective gear)
- Advanced Infield Skills Clinic: Bat, Helmet, & Turf or Tennis Shoes (any protective gear)
- Pitching Clinic: Pitching mask, spinner, glove, turfs and/or tennis shoes
- Must bring your own catcher

- Snow / Bad weather alternate date - Jan 13th (email will be sent 24 hrs. prior to camp if weather looks questionable for travel).
