BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — With two top-three team finishes, a team championship and two individual victories to its credit already this year, WKU Lady Topper Golf wraps up the fall season this coming week at the Little Rock Women's Golf Classic.
Â
WKU will be one of 17 programs competing Sunday through Tuesday at the par-72, 6,076-yard Diamante Country Club in Hot Springs Village, Ark.
Â
"We're looking forward to ending the season in a new location this year," WKU head coach Adam Gary said. "I've heard great things about the course and the event. I'm proud of how hard the team has worked this fall, and we're hoping to carry our solid play over into this last event."
Â
Juniors Mary Joiner, Bailey Tyree and Abigail Smee, sophomore Megan Clarke and freshman Lizzie Loy will represent the Lady Toppers this week.
Â
Teams will play 18 holes each day, starting at 8:30 a.m. CT Sunday with tee times.
Â
The Lady Toppers most recently finished ninth as a team in what could be the most difficult field they face all year at Louisville's Cardinal Cup. WKU was one of 10 Golfstat Top 100 programs in the field at the time.
Â
Joiner led the Lady Toppers in that event with her fourth top-15 finish in as many events this season.
