BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Softball has announced its 2017 fall slate which includes four chances for fans to catch the squad in intercollegiate action on The Hill. Head coach Amy Tudor and the Hilltoppers have eight total games slated for the fall training season.
WKU Softball will make its first appearance of the 2017-18 school year on Sept. 17, in Westfield, Ind., as part of the College Game Day event. The Red and White will play two, starting with Purdue at 10 a.m. CT followed immediately by a tilt with Ball State.
Two weekends later, on Sept. 30, the Hilltoppers will make their home debut from the WKU Softball Complex as Volunteer State Community College comes to town for a noon CT doubleheader.
On Oct. 14, Coach Tudor and company will head over to Lexington for a twin bill with Kentucky. The Hilltoppers final road action of the fall will commence at noon CT.
WKU will wrap up fall ball with two games against Motlow Community College on The Hill on Oct. 21. First pitch of the double feature is set for noon CT.
The Hilltoppers are coming off of a 31-31 2016 campaign that included a run through the single-elimination portion of the Conference USA Tournament, despite owning the lowest seed. Additionally, WKU added two more postseason wins in the inaugural NISC event for a 4-4 reading in postseason play.
