Pat Bradley Invitational Final Results
LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. — Three career performances yielded a strong finish for the WKU women's golf team, which finished tied for second Tuesday at FIU's Pat Bradley Invitational.
The Lady Toppers shot an 8-over 296 as a team in Tuesday's final round at the par-72, 6,288-yard Lakewood Ranch Golf & Country Club. They tied Toledo for second with a three-round total of 879 (292-291-296), while host FIU won the title at 872.
Junior Georgina Blackman finished tied for seventh individually with a 1-under 215 (70-69-76) total, which was the best three-round score of her career.
Junior Katie Story moved up the leaderboard Tuesday with an even-par 72 in the final round, tying her for 13th with a career-best 219 (73-74-72) tally. Freshman Mary Joiner also tied for 13th at 219 (72-74-73).
Freshman Abigail Smee turned in the best effort of her young career with a 231 total (82-74-75) and tied for 46th. After being forced to withdrawal Monday with a vision issue, junior Emily Alexander battled through it Tuesday to card a 76 in the finale.
Florida's Samantha Wagner won the individual crown at 202.
The Lady Toppers are back in action next week at Mercer's Idle Hour Collegiate Championship at Idle Hour Golf & Country Club in Macon, Ga.
