WKU Baseball will host its annual Labor Day Showcase on Sunday, Sept. 6, at Nick Denes Field for high school players to demonstrate their talents and learn more about the Hilltoppers.
The showcase will have two sessions, with the first running from 7:30 a.m. to 1:20 p.m. CT and the second starting at 12:30 p.m. and ending at 6:00 p.m. The cost of a single session is $150.
The event will allow athletes to go through a professional-style workout, take batting practice on Nick Denes Field, go through various workouts in the state-of-the-art hitting facility, take part in pregame and postgame pitching routines and participate in a live scrimmage to wrap up each session. All athletes will be given the opportunity to be evaluated by new head coach John Pawlowski and the WKU baseball staff as well as other college coaches.
The Labor Day Showcase is extremely important in the recruitment of student-athletes for the baseball program as multiple future Hilltoppers are located at the event every year.
