LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. -- WKU posted its best three-round total of the fall with a 42-over 906 (306-296-304) at the 38th Annual Pat Bradley Invitational hosted by FIU, finishing seventh on the team leaderboard at the conclusion of the tournament on Tuesday.
Georgina Blackman paced the Lady Toppers and finished fourth overall, besting her previous 54-hole low of the fall by five strokes after finishing with a two-over 218 (74-70-74). The Essex, England, native also matched her low finish of the fall; Blackman also placed fourth at Bearcat Fall Classic earlier this month. In a field that included four Conference USA teams, Blackman bested her nearest in-conference competitor, FIU's Meghan MacLaren, by five strokes.
"This tournament was our best performance since the Conference USA tournament last spring, and we could see everything that we've been building on this fall finally click," head coach Adam Gary said. "We finished second out of the four Conference USA teams competing and I'm very proud of our performance this week."
Ellinor Haag narrowly missed her fourth top-10 finish of the fall after tying for 17th. The senior finished with a nine-over 225 (75-73-77), her second-best three-round total of the fall, and she tied for fifth among the Conference USA competitors alongside Eji Kwon of North Texas.
Emily Alexander finished tied for 39th after a final-round 77 on Tuesday. Alexander finished with a 14-over 230 (79-74-77) for the tournament, and Daniela Galassi was up next with a 26-over 242 (78-79-85) to place 68th overall.
Michaela Bordeianu rounded out the card for WKU, tallying a 31-over 247 (87-84-76) to tie for 74th overall.
The Lady Toppers will return to the course one final time this fall at the Fall Beach Bash hosted by UAB next Monday and Tuesday.
