Overtime Notes
- WKU played its first overtime game since Oct. 20, 2012, a 43-42 loss to ULM.
- WKU is now 9-3 all-time in overtime games.

- WKU fell to 4-2 in overtime games during the FBS era with the loss, having lost the last two overtime contests it has played.
- The contest was tied for the longest game in WKU history, tying a three overtime game in 1997 against Murray State, a 52-50 win for WKU in Bowling Green.
- The contest is the longest in the FBS era for WKU.
Team Notes
- Tonight's game marked the inaugural conference game as a member of Conference USA for WKU.
- When WKU failed to score in the third quarter tonight, it ended a streak of 15 consecutive quarters with a score for WKU.
- WKU's 718 yards of total offense set a new school record, breaking the mark that was set just two weeks ago when WKU had 708 yards against Bowling Green on Aug. 29, 2014.
- WKU ran 102 plays in the game, setting a new school record and besting the 97 plays against Eastern Illinois on Nov. 10, 1984, thus marking the first time in school history that WKU has run 100 plays in a single game.
- WKU's 47 points are its most in a losing effort since scoring 48 in a 68-49 loss to North Texas on Oct. 31, 2009.
- WKU has now had an individual record at least 100 all-purpose yards in 47 straight games dating back to Oct. 9, 2010 as Nicholas Norris reached the mark today at the midway point of the second quarter tonight, the first of four WKU players to reach 100 all-purpose yards in the game.
- WKU had at least 10 players record a reception today, the second straight game that has occurred. WKU reached the mark before halftime against MT tonight. WKU had had at least nine different players catch a pass in every game this season.
- WKU has had a scoring drive of at least 15 players in every game this season.
- WKU has multiple receivers reach the 100-yard mark in the same game for the first time since Oct. 21, 2006 against Southern Illinois when Jake Gaebler (133) and Jesse Quinn (100) reached the mark. Tonight, WKU had three receivers reach the mark as Nicholas Norris (174), Jared Dangerfield (107) and Mitchell Henry (128) all reached the mark.
Player Notes
- Senior quarterback Brandon Doughty threw for a school record 593 yards, including 532 yards in regulation.

- Doughty completed 43-of-66 passes in the game. The 43 completions were the second most in program history while the 66 pass attempts set a new school record for a single game.
- Doughty's four touchdown passes marked the eighth such occurrence in program history, including two by Doughty.
- Doughty has now posted the only two 500-yard passing performances in WKU history through WKU's first three games. He owns three of the top six single game passing performances in WKU history and two of the four 400-yard passing performances in program history.
- Doughty moved into the top five of WKU's career passing yardage listing with his pass reception to Joel German midway through the first quarter. He ended the game in fourth place on the career list. Doughty entered the game with 3,836 passing yards in his career and surpassed John Hall (1977-80, previously fifth) and Johnny Vance (1966-69, previously fourth) on the career listing in the game.
- Doughty becomes third player in Conference USA history to post two 500-yard passing games in a single season, joining Louisville's Chris Redman (1998) and Houston's Case Keenum (2009).
- Doughty's 593 passing yards set a new Conference USA record for passing yards in a game, breaking Chris Redman's record of 592 passing yards against East Carolina on Nov. 14, 1998.
- Sophomore wide receiver Nicholas Norris had a career high 174 yards receiving, besting the 95-yard performance he had against South Alabama last year in Mobile.

- His 47-yard touchdown reception early in the second quarter was the longest pass reception of his career.
- Senior tight end Mitchell Henry had career highs in receptions and yards with seven receptions and 128 yards.
- Junior Jared Dangerfield had a career high seven receptions and a career best 107 yards receiving.
- Freshman Nacarius Fant, Kentucky's Mr. Football in 2013, made his first career reception late in the first quarter.
- Junior running back Leon Allen finished with 128 rushing yards, four shy of tying his career high of 132 yards.

- Allen has eclipsed the 99-yard mark for the third time in three games and posted his second 100-yard performance of the season tonight.
