OCALA, Fla. -- After two rounds of play at the Ocala Spring Invitational, the WKU Lady Toppers golf team finds themselves in 14th place with a 323 team score in the second round.
The team shot a 313 in yesterday's opening round bringing their two-round score to 636 (+60) on the par-72, 6,113 yard Juliette Falls Golf Course.
April Butler continues to lead WKU as she carded another sub-80 round again on Monday. Butler's 152 (73-79) has her tied for 21st overall. Ellinor Haag finished the day tied for 56th, shooting a 159 (79-80) while Michaela Bordeianu was third on the team, tied for 72nd, with a 164 (84-80).
Rounding out the team scoring, Daniela Galassi currently sits in a tie for 81st with a 167 (77-90) on the event while McKenzie Smith is in 89th place, shooting a 171 (87-84) over the first two rounds.
Daytona State College continues to lead the event with a 17-over 593 (295-298) and has the top two individuals in Tiffany Chan and So Young Hwang. Chan is the only golfer in the tournament to shoot a pair of sub-par rounds, going 67 and 68.
The 16-team field wrap up the event tomorrow with an 8:15 a.m. ET tee time.
