WKU concluded its time in the 2014 NIT Season Tip-Off with a win Thursday night against Saint Joseph's at Madison Square Garden, and the Hilltoppers will head to Murray State on Saturday and travel to Ole Miss on Dec. 13 before beginning a seven-game homestand Dec. 17 against Chicago State.
George Fant turned in an outstanding performance Thursday night, recording 17 points, grabbing 15 rebounds and dishing out three assists in 33 minutes, recording WKU's first double-double of the season and the Hilltoppers' first 15-rebound performance since Juan Pattillo had 18 on Nov. 27, 2010.
Bowling Green State is under the leadership of Chris Jans in his first season as the Falcon head coach, and the squad returns four starters and nine letterwinners from last year's team that defeated WKU in Bowling Green, Ohio, 74-62.
