BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Mahurin Family Foundation Head Coach Hank Plona announced the signing of rising redshirt senior Trevion LaBeaux to the 2026-27 roster.
LaBeaux arrives on The Hill after spending two seasons at East Carolina and two seasons at Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa, where he played under Plona during the 2022-23 season.
"I am very excited to add Trevion LaBeaux to our Hilltopper family," said Plona. "Trevion has been a winner his entire life and brings experience and intangibles to our team that we need. He can handle it, pass, score and rebound, but most importantly, he is always willing to do whatever his team needs to win. I know Trevion is going above and beyond to bounce back from missing a year with injury and to finish his career with a great season. Trevion and I have some unfinished business together, and I can't wait to have the opportunity to coach him one more time here at WKU."
In 2024-25, LaBeaux appeared in 31 games with 26 starts for the Pirates, averaging 3.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per game while shooting 48.6% from the field. He added 1.0 blocks and 0.7 steals per contest, recording 13 games with five or more rebounds. He missed the entire 2025-26 season due to injury.
Prior to East Carolina, LaBeaux played a key role at Indian Hills, helping lead the Warriors to a 58-11 record over two seasons, including back-to-back NJCAA Final Four appearances, back-to-back NJCAA Region 11 Championships and the 2024 NJCAA North Central District Championship.
During the 2023-24 season, LaBeaux started all 32 games and averaged 13.3 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.2 blocks per game, earning NJCAA First Team All-American honors and ICCAC Player of the Year recognition. He scored in double figures 20 times, including five 20-point performances, and posted a season-high 30 points on 11-of-12 shooting in a win over Marshalltown on Jan. 17. He became just the third player in program history to earn All-American honors while making back-to-back NJCAA Final Four appearances.
As a freshman in 2022-23, LaBeaux appeared in 32 games with 15 starts, averaging 7.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game while shooting 52.2% from the field. He scored in double figures in three of Indian Hills' four postseason games, including two in the NJCAA Tournament. Off the court, he earned ICCAC All-Academic Second Team honors and was part of the NJCAA Academic Team of the Year.
LaBeaux played at Ames High School, where he averaged 15.3 points and 6.4 rebounds per game. He earned 4A All-Tournament Team honors and helped lead the Little Cyclones to the 2022 Iowa Class 4A State Championship.
