Following a second-straight road sweep, WKU returns home on Thursday at 7:00 PM (CT) to host Sun Belt Conference newcomer UT Arlington.
With wins at ULM and Louisiana-Lafayette last week WKU improved to 13-7 overall for the first time since the 2008-09 season, and its current 5-2 conference mark is the best since that 2008-09 squad opened league play with a 6-1 record.
UT Arlington spent last season in the Western Athletic Conference, where it went 11-7 and finished fourth en route to a 19-14 overall mark, and the Mavericks were a member of the Southland Conference for the 49 years before that dating back to 1963-64.
UT Arlington is led by reigning Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week Reger Dowell, who leads the league and ranks 14th nationally in scoring at 21.6 points per game.
Thursday's game will be televised by the Hilltopper Sports Satellite Network, airing nationally on ESPN3 and ESPN Full Court and regionally on WKU PBS in the Bowling Green area and WBNA in Louisville. It will be broadcast on the radio on the Hilltopper IMG Sports Network, airing locally in Bowling Green on WKLX-FM Sam 100.7, with Randy Lee and Hal Schmitt on the call.
WKU welcomes Texas State to E.A. Diddle Arena on Saturday at 7:00 PM (CT) to conclude the week.
