BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The WKU baseball program will host its Topper Prospect Showcase for high school players on Nov. 2 from 8:50 a.m. (CT) to 4:50 p.m. (CT).
The Topper Prospect Showcase will be a full day event focusing on recruiting but also implementing many of the teaching points that WKU Baseball has used to consistently produce high level draft selections and outstanding teams season after season.
The Topper Prospect Showcase is a great opportunity for fall athletes that cannot attend WKU's Labor Day Showcase to display their baseball skills to the Hilltopper coaching staff.
Depending upon desired position, players will be put through a pro style workout, batting practice on field and drills in the hitting facility. Pitchers will go through pre and postgame routines and finish the day with a live scrimmage.
While the emphasis will be on recruiting, there will be a large amount of quality instruction involved in the showcase as well. Many of the drills and fundamentals WKU does on a daily basis will be implemented while we are evaluating each player closely.
In addition to the showcase all players will tour the new Paul Orberson Baseball Clubhouse and the weight room to meet the weights coaches and visit the lower campus. The entire WKU Baseball staff, including head coach Matt Myers, will work the camp.
Each player receives a true evaluation that will be given to them upon request.
