MONROE, La. – Junior Keith Tooley, making his WKU tournament debut, shot a final round 75 on Tuesday to finish 11th in the ULM Wallace Jones Invitational. The men’s golf team finished 10th overall in the event.
Tooley shot 73-78-75 for the tournament to lead the Hilltoppers. He finished 226 after entering the event fifth in the WKU lineup.
Sophomore Nate Johnson was WKU’s second highest finisher at 27th overall in the field. He shot a final round 81 after heading into the final round with a top 10 standing. Johnson was followed in the lineup by Logan Edelen (55th), Conor Griffiths (tied for 56th) and Nick Thompson (tied for 56th).
The Hilltoppers now head to the Sun Belt Conference Championships on April 22-24,2013 in Muscle Shoals, Alabama.
