WKU Baseball to Host Topper Select Showcase in November

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — The WKU baseball team will be hosting its second showcase of the fall baseball season, as the Topper Select Showcase for high school athletes will take place on November 3 on WKU's campus.
The Topper Select Showcase will be a full day of instructional teaching points, a pro style workout, batting practice on Nick Denes Field, drills in the state-of-the-art hitting facility, pre-game and post-game routines for pitchers and a live scrimmage to wrap up the day.
Aside from the drills and teaching points, every camper will receive a true evaluation from the WKU coaching staff, to go along with a tour of the new WKU baseball clubhouse, a tour of the weight room and a tour of lower campus. 
The showcase camps at WKU have been extremely beneficial for many participants over the years, as nearly half of the WKU roster attended a showcase camp at WKU before coming to the Hill. After hundreds of athletes flocked to campus for the Labor Day Showcase camp on September 2, the Topper Select Showcase will give high school athletes another opportunity to showcase skills and gain valuable knowledge from the WKU coaching staff.
The WKU baseball team is currently in week two of fall practices, coming off its first season under head coach Matt Myers. Myers and his coaching staff brought in a 14-member signing class over the offseason, a class which included seven players from the state of Kentucky, and four from within a 30-mile radius of Bowling Green. WKU will be hosting its annual Fall World Series coming up in October.
