My name is Laura Smith and I am finishing up my senior season here on the hill. I am majoring in Chemistry with a minor in Athletic Coaching. For the future, I plan on attending pharmacy school and doing a little coaching on the side. For the recap on softball, we just finished up a home series against University of Louisiana-Lafayette. Although we couldn't pull out a win, we made great strides towards reaching our peak for the conference tournament. Amanda Walden came in strong for us this weekend at the plate and our pitchers had strong appearances against the Ragin Cajuns. This week our focus turns to Evansville on Thursday for our last home game of the season and then to Middle Tennessee to end the regular season games. We are looking to finish strong with a confident swing going into the Sunbelt Conference Tournament. Everyone come out and support us on Thursday for our last home game at 5pm. For students, it would be a great way to take a break from studying for finals!! Hope to see everyone there!!
