BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Western Kentucky University senior Casey Dykes has been recognized among the top prospects of the Texas Collegiate League by Perfect Game USA.
Dykes was tabbed among the Top 25 prospects in the Texas Collegiate League.
The third baseman played in 38 games for the Brazos Valley Bombers and finished the summer with a .281 average. Dykes tallied 38 hits, including six doubles and one home run, scored 23 runs while driving in 23 RBIs. He drew 15 walks and had a .362 on-base percentage. He also stole three bases.
The Brazos Valley Bombers advanced to the TCL Championship Series but fell to the Coppell Copperheads two games to none. By making it to the championship series, the Brazos Valley Bombers finished their most successful season to date.
Dykes was named to the TCL All-Star Game earlier in the summer and helped lead the South All-Stars to a 7-4 win over the North All-Stars. He drew two walks in two at-bats during the game.
