2011 WKU Softball Fall Schedule
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — The WKU softball team released its 2011 fall schedule on Monday. The Lady Toppers will play six games at the WKU Softball Complex beginning September 28 at 6 p.m. against Lindsey Wilson.
WKU will host Alabama and Murray State for the Topper Fall Classic I on Saturday, Oct. 1. The Lady Toppers will play Alabama, a Women's College World Series participant from a season ago, at 1 p.m. and Murray State at 3 p.m. During the first Topper Fall Classic, the Lady Toppers will sponsor a canned food drive.
On Thursday, October 6 the Lady Toppers will travel to the University of Tennessee to play the Lady Vols as well as Chattanooga State. WKU will host the Topper Fall Classic II on Saturday, October 15. The Lady Toppers will play Campbellsville that day at 1 p.m. and Volunteer State at 3 p.m. The Topper Fall Classic II will be the Lady Toppers' Breast Cancer Awareness game with the team taking up donations for the Susan G. Koman for the Cure Foundation. WKU's fall slate wraps up on Wednesday, October 19 with a 6 p.m. game at the WKU Softball Complex against Brescia.
