Bowling Green, Ky. - Lady Topper second basemen Kelsie Mattox has been recognized by the Sun Belt Conference as the SBC Player of the Week, the league office announced today.
A freshman for the Lady Toppers, the honor is the first in her career for Mattox and the first for the Lady Toppers this season.
Mattox led the Lady Toppers last week with a .500 batting average. She brought in four runs off seven hits with six RBIs. She tied her season-high of four RBI's in a single game going three-for-three at the plate with two runs in the 8-2 victory over Murray State.
