Hello everyone!!
It's Mallorie again! For those of you who don't know, I am a pitcher/1st baseman from Lakewood, Colorado! Time has flown by and I cannot believe that I'm already in my THIRD year of college studying towards my degree in accounting. As juniors we are able to live off campus, so it has been very exciting for me to move into an apartment. Katrina and Ciara are my roommates and it has been a lot of fun learning what it's like to live on our own. We are definitely growing up and learning new things every day. I am proud to say that with a little trial and error, we are all becoming fantastic cooks!
This past week we played three of our eight fall games. Wednesday we had our fall opener against Lindsey Wilson and Saturday we played Alabama and Murray State in the Topper Fall Classic I. Although we only came away from the week with one win, it was a great learning experience! Because of a few unfortunate injuries, we have been moving players all over the field and trying new lineups. This has taught us a lot about our team and pointed out our strengths as well as some areas we need to improve upon.
These past three games have given us a great starting point and we are looking forward to the rest of the fall to improve our game and take it to the next level! I see so much potential in our team this year and I cannot wait to see us perform to our fullest! We are going to touch up a few things these next couple days and head down to Knoxville on Thursday, where we take on Chattanooga State and Tennessee.
Thank you for all your support and donations to the canned food drive this past weekend! Your contributions are really going to make an impact on some families during these upcoming holiday seasons. If you missed this past weekend, don't worry! Come catch us at our next home games when we take on Campbellsville and Volunteer State, Saturday the 15th. Hope to see you all there!
GO TOPPERS!
